Privacy Policy

Viral App Labs LLC (“Viral App Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Authenticator App, an app that generates two-factor authentication codes for the accounts you sign in to on iPhone (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Authenticator App is private by design. Your two-factor secrets are stored on your device and never leave it. There are no accounts, no servers that hold your data, and no tracking of how you sign in. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

• Your two-factor secrets.The setup keys used to generate your codes are stored encrypted in your iPhone’s Keychain. They stay on your device, are never transmitted to us, and we never have access to them.
• Accounts you add. The service names, labels, and icons you add for each account are stored locally on your device so the App can display and organize your codes.
• Camera, only for scanning. With your permission, the App uses your camera to scan setup QR codes when you add an account. The camera feed is processed on your device and is never stored or sent anywhere.
• Anonymized usage and device information. We may collect anonymized usage metrics and basic device information to diagnose issues, fix bugs, and improve the App.

Authenticator App does not require an account, and we do not collect your name, contacts, or a record of which services you use the App to sign in to.

You can lock the App behind Face ID, Touch ID, or a PIN. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS. The App receives only a success or failure result and never has access to your Face ID or Touch ID data. The camera permission is used solely to scan setup QR codes. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Authenticator App lets you create encrypted, passphrase-protected backups that you control. Backups are encrypted with a passphrase you choose, which we never receive and cannot recover. If you choose to store a backup file in iCloud or another location, that copy is subject to the privacy policy of the service you store it with. We do not hold copies of your backups.

We use the limited information described above to:

• Operate and maintain the App, including generating your codes and displaying your accounts.
• Diagnose problems and fix bugs.
• Improve features and the overall experience.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Your two-factor secrets are stored encrypted in your iPhone’s Keychain and remain on your device. Codes are hidden behind a privacy overlay the moment you switch apps, and copied codes can be cleared automatically by the auto-expiring clipboard. We implement reasonable technical measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Authenticator App may integrate with Apple services such as the Keychain, In-App Purchases, the App Store, and iCloud. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with advertising networks.

You may access, correct, or delete the information associated with the App at any time by editing or removing accounts within Authenticator App, by managing permissions in your device settings, by deleting the App, or by contacting us. To make a request, contact us at support@viralapplabs.com.

Authenticator App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
