How does the bark and meow translator work?
Record your dog or cat and Pet Chat uses on-device intelligence to turn the sound into a playful translation with a mood. It's made for fun and entertainment, not literal communication, so enjoy the results without taking them as fact.
What is the cat and dog soundboard?
The soundboard lets you talk back with sounds your pet can react to, with built-in options for dinner time, play time, calling them over, and saying “I love you.” You can play it from your iPhone or right from your Apple Watch.
Can I really chat with my pet?
You can chat with an AI version of your pet that knows their name, breed, and personality and answers in their own voice. There are also built-in helpers for behavior, training, food safety, and new pet parent tips. It's a fun companion, not a real conversation or professional advice.
Is Pet Chat private? Do you store my pet's recordings?
Pet Chat runs on Apple Intelligence entirely on your iPhone, so your conversations and your pet's sounds stay on your device. Recordings are processed on-device and are never sent to our servers. There are no accounts.
What do I need to use Pet Chat?
Pet Chat's translations and chat rely on Apple Intelligence, which runs on your device. Availability depends on your iPhone model and iOS version. The microphone permission is only used when you choose to record your pet, and you can manage it anytime in Settings.
Is the food safety and training advice reliable?
The behavior, training, food safety, and new pet parent tips are general information to give you a friendly starting point, not professional veterinary or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your pet's health, diet, and care, especially if your pet may be unwell or has eaten something unsafe.
What are the widgets, daily thoughts, and watch features?
Pet Chat includes daily thoughts from your pet, Home Screen widgets, and Apple Watch soundboards and watch face messages, so a little bit of your pet is with you throughout the day.
How do I cancel a subscription or get a refund?
Subscriptions and purchases are managed through your Apple ID in the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies. You can manage or cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account.
